The Doctor of Theology was the key program of GTS for many years until we introduced our Master of Theology. Now we have more graduate of the Master of Theology than of the Doctor of Theology.
Entrance into the Program required an examination or Proposal of Doctorate Study depending on the campus responsible. If an examination was conducted, the students must complete the core courses before the discussion of the dissertation can be discussed.
Proposal students will be allowed to work on their research for the Dissertation as they were approved by the President of GTS.
The courses of Study for the Doctorate program consists of the following:
The Core Courses:
- The Old Testament
- The 4 Gospels
- The Acts
- The Epistles
- Systematic Theology
- Church History
For Elective Courses:
- Literary understanding of the Bible
- The Social Responsibility of Modern Science
- Computer Science
- Health Care
- World Politics and Economics
Again for graduation the students must reach a GPA of 2.60 or greater and complete all Core courses and Some Elective Courses.
